Movement-Centered Physiotherapy That Builds Strength & Resilience

Physiotherapy at The LAB is rooted in one-on-one attention, personalized movement strategies, and long-term progress. We help you understand what your body needs (and why) so you can move with more freedom, less pain, and greater confidence.

Whether you’re navigating an injury, managing a condition, or preparing for a return to sport, we guide you through every stage of your recovery and performance. Each session is led by a licensed physiotherapist who tailors treatment to your body, goals, and sport or activity demands.

Our Approach to Physiotherapy

You won’t find passive treatment plans or endless printouts of generic exercises here. At The LAB, physiotherapy means active rehab, informed by biomechanics and driven by your goals.

We combine education, manual therapy, and progressive strength work to help you rebuild from the ground up, whether you’re rehabbing an injury, retraining movement patterns, or learning how to manage pain more effectively.

We also collaborate across disciplines. Our physiotherapists regularly coordinate care with chiropractors, osteopaths, and personal trainers within The LAB, so your treatment plan works as a whole, not in silos.

Physio for Recovery, Prevention & Performance

Physiotherapy isn’t just about getting out of pain. It’s about building a body that stays out of pain. We help clients with:

  • Post-operative recovery (e.g. ACL, rotator cuff, labrum, tendon repairs)
  • Joint injuries (ankle, knee, shoulder, hip)
  • Tendinopathies and overuse injuries
  • Chronic pain and movement dysfunction
  • Return-to-sport assessments
  • Performance mobility and strength strategies

We don’t just treat what hurts. We uncover the why behind it.

Designed for Active People, Not Just Athletes

Our physiotherapists have experience working with elite and professional athletes, but that same expertise is applied to every client. Whether you’re training, parenting, recovering from surgery, or sitting too long at a desk, our priority is helping you move better, feel stronger, and stay active in the ways that matter most to you.

You bring the goals. We’ll help you build the tools to reach them.

I’ve been exposed to and seen a lot of chiros throughout my time as a professional athlete. I can honestly say that the team at The Lab is not only the best in the biz when it comes to knowledge and treatment, but who they are as people and the relationships they build with their clients is unmatched. They’ve been a game changer

Dr. Gomes and the team at the Lab was instrumental in getting my body right in the offseason. His knowledge and treatment style set him apart. Would highly recommend to any athlete.

Riley Dane

(Registered Massage Therapist)

RMT, Hons. BA Kin

I started out in this field because I was inspired by the care and sports rehab that I received when I was an athlete. From competitive gymnastics to soccer to varsity track and field, I’ve been in and out of my fair share of clinics!

I have a passion for helping people return to doing what they love. Whether that be sports, recreational activity, or returning to a pain-free everyday life. I want to work as a team with each individual to create a treatment that fits their mental and physical needs. I believe that exercise and activity is an essential component of wellbeing and want my clients to be able to engage in these activities without compromise.

Education-wise I went to Western (GO STANGS!) for my undergrad, earning a Honours Bachelor of Arts with Specialization in Kinesiology and followed that with a Diploma of Massage Therapy from Sutherland-Chan.

In my spare time, I like to lift weights, read, play volleyball and spend time with family. I’m a huge sports fan, especially the Leafs, Raps and Jays!
